Hayden at the Orphanage

Hayden            I have been involved with the Pattaya Orphanage and School for Handicapped and Blind Kids in Thailand ever since I met Father Raymond Brennan some 25 years ago. He became one of my best friends and mentors. A truly amazing man who counted both Pope John Paul II and the Dalai Lama as his friends. A strict Catholic he never-the-less did not convert any of the kid (“They just seem so much happier than my Catholic friends. I just don’t have the heart to convert them!”, he would often say).

I have gone to the Orphanage some 50 times and meeting Father Brennan was an incredible, spiritual experience.

Kids that I sponsored when they were babies are now married with kids of their own. One young man won the bronze medal at the Para-Olympics with a wheelchair that we made for him here in California.

From having my kids help at feeding time to taking the kids go-kart racing – this is a magical place, with happy, healthy and smart kids. The orphanage has its own school and all kids have jobs waiting for them when they leave.

Email me if you are interested in visiting or if you would like further information.
